Client statements
A statement for the month, with the balance brought forward.
Pick a client, a from date and a to date. Rebill lists the invoices issued and the payments received in that window, opens with the balance carried in from before it, and closes with what is owed now. Add your logo, send it by email to the client and up to three CC addresses, or let the client download it from their portal.
Included on every plan.
What a Rebill statement gets right
Any period, not just to date
A statement for March shows March. Everything before it collapses into one balance brought forward line, per currency.
Payments, not just invoices
Every payment the client made appears on the day it was received, allocated to the invoices it settled. Overpayments show as credit carried forward.
Your logo, your details
The statement carries the same logo and business details as your invoices. Premium accounts can remove the Rebill mark.
Sent, or self-served
Email it with a PDF attached, CC the client's bookkeeper, or point the client at their portal where the current statement is always available.
Drafts stay out
Only issued invoices count. Drafts and scheduled invoices never inflate a balance.
Per currency
A client you invoice in rand and dollars gets a section per currency with its own opening balance and total.
In one paragraph
What should a client statement include?
A client statement lists every invoice issued to the client and every payment received from them in a period, opens with the balance owed at the start of the period, and closes with the balance owed at the end. Rebill generates it for any from and to date, per currency, with your logo, and sends it by email or shows it on the client portal.
Questions about client statements
Can I send a statement for one month only?
Yes. Set the from and to dates to the month. Anything before the from date appears as a single balance brought forward line.
Do unpaid invoices from last year show?
They are inside the balance brought forward. To list them individually, move the from date back.
Can the client pay from the statement?
Each invoice on the statement links to its pay page. On the client portal the statement sits next to a pay button for every open invoice.
Who receives the statement email?
The client's primary email plus up to three CC addresses you save on the client, and the hidden BCC address if you set one.
Is the statement a tax document?
No. It is an account summary. The tax invoices it lists are the tax documents.
